Aqua

Brief Overview

Aqua is a member of the Starfall collective. She is often protective of those she loves, and enjoys helping other people out when she can.

Early Life

Aqua grew up on a world she has very little memory of; at some point when she was very young, she was taken to the Land of Departure after showing an affinity for wielding a keyblade and using magic. She learned under the keyblade master Eraqus with another student, Terra. They were later joined by Ventus, who is at that point nonverbal and non-responsive. He gradually opens up as Aqua and Terra attempt to get to know him and include him in not only training but leisure activities as well. Aqua enjoyed baking for him and encouraging him to take a more active role in their now shared home world.

At some point, Aqua makes her friends wayfinders, good luck charms that connect them and solidify their friendship.

Four years after Ventus arrives, Aqua and Terra take the Mark of Mastery exam, and Aqua is made a keyblade master. after this, Ventus goes missing, and Terra and Aqua independently go to look for him.

This culminates in a battle with Vanitas, Who was a part of Ventus's original self, and Terra, who is possessed by a the same man who brought Ventus in the first place, and who was responsible for his condition.

The three are ultimately separated, with Ventus entering into a deep sleep, Terra lost in the realm of darkness, and Aqua, who decided to enter it herself and search for him there.

Aqua spent ten years in the realm of darkness, essentially alone except for the nonhuman enemies she had to face; in her canon, this culminates in her being rescued by Sora, although her memories cut off right before this point, as far as she is aware.

Divergence from canon

Much of Aqua's early childhood is technically not canon to the series, as there is essentially no information on who her parents are or where she comes from. It also would be slightly strange to say she travelled to a different world prior to the events of her canon, but it is at least possible, since Ventus also came from another world.

System Life

Since coming to the Starfall Haven, Aqua has had to deal with her mild nyctophobia and has had great success with it. She has been reliable as a friend and supporter to many people, and has an interest in getting back into baking for fun.

Aqua has also been able to reconcile with Vanitas and the two generally tolerate each other. She has a special fondness for Sora.
